1.        I hold the official title of ‘Lady Karly Lane of Glencoe’.
I own a plot of land in Scotland . . . well it is only one square metre but still . . . I’m officially a landowner! I adore Scotland and everything about it. While visiting in 2019, the story for Take Me Home began to brew away and, by the time I left, I knew exactly what I wanted to write.

2.        Before becoming an author, I used to work in pathology.
Often referred to as a vampire, my day consisted mainly of sticking people with needles and taking their blood.

3.        I am a collector of animals.
I’m that woman who has absolutely no rules about how many or what kinds of animals she can have on her farm. I mysteriously keep gaining more rescue dogs and cats. I currently have horses, chooks, turkeys, cows, pigs and goats.

4.        I can’t add up to save my life!
Anything involving numbers or maths gives me anxiety. So of course my first job after leaving school was to work in a bank  . . . I think I still hold the title of World’s Worst Bank Teller—Ever.

5.        I haven’t always written rural fiction.  
I’ve also written fantasy, biker romance, military romance and chick-lit.
